Abraxas Forge is on the Play Store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.slackdaystudio.geministudio.beta

Here's the important part, and it's the opposite of how these announcements usually go: this isn't a port, a companion, or a stripped-down version. It's the Forge. The same one you use in a browser. Same account, same characters, same campaigns, same rules engine — because it is the site, wrapped so it can live on your home screen.

Install it, sign in, and your characters are already there. Nothing to migrate, nothing to export, no second copy quietly drifting out of sync with the first.

That's a deliberate design decision, not a shortcut.

Why build it this way

Because the alternative is building the Forge twice and then apologizing for it forever. A separate app means a separate release cycle, a separate set of bugs, and a version that's always three features behind whichever one you're not looking at.

There's no app version to fall behind here. When the Forge updates, the app updates — it's the same deploy. What you get is the real thing in its own window, with a home screen icon and no address bar. It just doesn't pretend to be a different product.

On iPhone and iPad

You get the same thing today, and you don't have to wait for us.

Open forge.abraxas.rocks in Safari, or whatever browser you prefer. That's it. Identical Forge, identical features, identical data. The only difference is a little more browser chrome around the edges — an address bar, the tab furniture.

If you want it closer to the Android experience, use Share → Add to Home Screen. You get an icon that opens straight into the Forge with most of that chrome gone.

This is the upside of building on the web instead of building three times. The browser version was never the fallback. It's the actual product, and everything else is a frame around it.

If you had the old app

Two things worth knowing.

The old version stopped working in late July. Sorry — it took longer to fix than it should have. The update replaces it entirely, and it can't expire the way that one did.

Please update rather than uninstalling. Characters you made in the old app were saved on your device rather than to your account, and uninstalling erases them permanently. Updating keeps them exactly where they are. Bringing those across into your account is the next thing we're working on — so if you've been sitting on a broken icon waiting for a reason not to delete it, this is the reason.

Characters you made on the web are unaffected and already waiting for you.
